First off, thank you to everyone who came out to Vino 100 last night. Each one of you helped make a difference, either by bidding on an auction item, entering the raffle, buying a glass of wine (or a bottle) or just chatting with Denise and I.
Secondly, I’m exhausted. It will be nice to have this behind us and I can go back to concentrating on my running and biking and progress in those areas. I am still fundraising though, so please, if you have not yet had a chance to donate, there are links to the left that will take you to my donation page. You can make a donation online, or contact me to make an offline donation. Every donation helps!
I believe the amount raised last night from the auction and raffle items is around $1000. We’ll know more when all the items are delivered and money collected. With the portion of sales from the wine shop added in, we think we will be around $1200 or so, conservatively. So that’s $600 for each Denise and I, towards our $3800 minimum to head to Napa. Not too bad for just over a month of planning!
So again, thank you so much to everyone who contributed, whether you donated an item, came out to Vino 100, bid on an item, bought a raffle ticket, anything. You are helping us reach our goals, which in turn helps to further research into Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
